In 1990, I entered in Jilin University, China and studied Chemistry. From that time, my life was connected with Chemistry. In the first four years, my major was Applied Chemistry, and then I began to do my research work in Polymer Chemistry and Physics, which made me like chemistry really. In the wide world of various kinds of polymers, I'm very interested in the semiconducting, electroluminescent, nonliner-optic polymers.
So after another five years, I finished my Ph.D thesis "Synthesis, Properties and Chemical Transformations of New Polyphenylene Derivatives".
From 1999, I came to a new university(UCONN) under American Sky. Oh, here everything seems new for me: quiet campus, village-like life, but advanced instruments in buildings; different expend style and necessary to own a car for everyone, and so on.
Altogether, life teaches me that I should do many things myself and keep the independent opinion to do everything! I believe in the near future I shall enjoy the life like American people. Indeed, I should thank for everyone I met in America, who gave me many helps and let me face the reality bravely!
